Days 296 - 301 : Of Film Festivals, Visas, Running and That Beautiful Trip to the Zoo!

So am clearly lagging behind in blogging these days. Oh well!

Anyway another 6 days have passed and they have been great! And am gonna give 6 reasons why.

1) Mom has come down for a visit after a really long time, bringing with her some of my favourite food items. Koorka, guruvayur pappadom, chakka varattiyathu and what not!

2) I got the Bangladesh and Brussels visas! As an Indian, that is always an exciting thing. My Bangladesh visa process was interesting. They sent me emails saying that the visa has been rejected. Not once, twice! I called them up to understand why and they are like "Sorry, our system does that by default." How sweet. Anyway both are ready and that means I am all set for the next two festivals!

3) We got into 3 more festivals - Panchajanyam International Film Festival in Palakkad Kerala, Golden Triangle Bhubaneshwar International Film Festival in Orissa and Darbhanga International Film Festival in Bihar! That makes it a total of 25 film festivals! Who would have thought?!

4) I completed writing one new episode for our sitcom Athazham. There are plans to bring it back, and that's exciting!

5) As per my Runkeeper app, I made my best time in running in both the 3km and 5km marks! How awesome!

6) Last but definitely the most important one of the lot, the husband was on a work trip, so Madam and I went on a trip to the zoo, together with our helper. And it was such great fun! Madam walked pretty much everywhere in that humungous zoo, studying her map intently throughout and of course, talking non stop. It was such a great outing and I was so thankful that we could put everything else that happened behind us and behave like regular families that go to the zoo!

There you go... it is all good. Six wonderful reasons, six wonderful days.

199 more to go.

Days 259 - 270 : The Low, The High, The Calm.

What an incredible few days it was. It hit some extreme lows and some extreme highs and then when I couldn't handle the ride, I slept it all off. Literally.

So it started with the toughest week of treatment. Madam was being given oral sedation every day prior to the treatment and she took it for a couple of days last week without much resistance. However, this week she fought it with tooth and nail. I tasted a bit of it myself and realized that it really is quite awful - not the taste but the texture really makes you gag and she has to take a very large quantity for it to take effect. So couldn't blame her for fighting this one. For a couple of days, she still managed to take it - and the routine was 1 hour of persuasion, 1 hour for it to take effect, and after the treatment, 3 hours for her wake up groggy and irritated. It was bad. But then the lowest point was when we went to the clinic on the Wednesday and she refused it flat. After close to two hours of tears and screams and bribes and attempts at forced feeding and resulting spit outs, we had to return back without the treatment being done. That was awful. So the decision was made that from the next day, she would get IV sedation. So for the remaining two days of the week, she carried around the IV and that ended up being a much less painful solution. Sure, there was still the pain of the injection and the discomfort of carrying around a bound arm with the IV in for a couple of days, but the sedation takes effect immediately and post treatment, she is up and about in 20 minutes. After the many hours of torture each day, this was God send!

Now comes the high. Post her treatment on Friday, I took a flight to Delhi, on my way to the Guwahati Film Festival. I had an overnight stay in Delhi and luckily, I had the company of the first professional critic of my films, who was kind enough to come all the way to the airport to meet me and who helped me find an Uber to the hotel, gave me company in the taxi in the 1.5 hours that took to cover the 7 kms and finally joined me for dinner. Over the few hours we were together, we discussed pretty much everything that could be discussed on films! It was inspiring! The next morning, I met my co-producer at the airport and together we were on our way to Guwahati (special mention to the gorgeous view of the Himalayan mountain ranges including the mighty Mt. Everest that accompanied us on the flight!)
The picture does no justice!
Upon arrival at Guwahati, we took a cab to our respective accommodations. Mine was supposed to be the Government Circuit House (which had a spectacular view of the lake next door) and his was another hotel nearby. However, it so happened that I realized my room in Circuit house was in a corner on the third floor with no working phone connection or internet and that didn't help at all, especially given that my own phone had zero network. So I shifted to the same hotel where the organizers had booked an additional room and where at least I got a working internet connection. We were also joined by our Assamese sound designer, who had first mentioned this festival to us and was the reason why we had applied to it.
The beautiful Circuit House

The view from what would have been my room at Circuit House

The gorgeous lake!

Post lunch and our brief small team catch up, we got ready to attend the opening ceremony of the film festival. We were picked up by a car arranged by the organizers and were brought to the beautiful Rabindra Bhawan, the venue. We got a red carpet welcome - yes, there actually was a red carpet and backdrop for photo op and multiple cameras flashing away! Then we were taken into the auditorium, and much to our surprise, all three of us - i.e the co-producer, the sounder design and I were invited on to the stage to join the chief guests! It was such a honour! We were given a beautiful reception - wonderful introduction speeches, and were gifted hand woven bags, shawls and a few books on Indian and Assamese cinema. We were also made part of the inaugural ceremony and were asked to light the lamps and I also had the honour of giving a speech! It was all beyond believable! My team and I couldn't stop talking about it!
On the red carpet with my team!
Blessed to share the same dais as the other chief guests!

The warm reception!
Being part of the inaugural ceremony!
Post that wonderful ceremony, we watched a beautiful national award winning Meghalayan film "Onataah" and had the opportunity to interact with its maker too. It was rather incredible to hear my name being mentioned in the same breath as his when everyone was talking about cinema, because he was clearly way above and a real pro! It was all very heartening and things were really on a high. Post the film, we were taken for some authentic Assamese cuisine with the organizers and other chief guests including the General Secretary of the Federation of Film Societies of India. I found it hard to believe that I was actually sitting opposite him at the same table and enjoying a meal! The meal, by the way, was exemplary, especially the non veg dishes. The conversation was incredible too... I learnt much about Assam and the north east, the cuisine, the people and much more. Needless to say, I slept that night, a very happy person!
A table full of yumminess!
With all the good folks who made the dinner enjoyable!

Next day, I woke up early and got ready for the day of the screening. I met the team for breakfast and as we were walking through yesterday's amazing turn events for the  umpteenth time, one of the organizers came over and gave us some gifts - Assamese rice, Assamese tea and Assamese chillies which are supposed to be one of the hottest in the world! Apparently over dinner yesterday, he had mentioned that he would give these to us, so that's exactly what he did. How sweet was that!
With gifts of Assamese rice, tea and red hot chillies!
Now that we were better acquainted with the local geography, post breakfast, the team and I walked from the hotel to the venue for our screening. We were pleased to see big hoardings about the festival, featuring poster of our film, on the streets of Guwahati and we took several photos!
Festival hoardings (our poster visual is on it!)
Soon the guests arrived - some Malayalis included, and the screening began. The best part? Post the screening, when I stood up to take the Q&A, I was given a standing ovation! I can't even say this is like a dream like true, because even my dreams don't go this far! This was just A.m.a.z.i.n.g!
Q&A post screening
After Q&A during which we got some incredibly positive feedback, it was time for me to rush to the airport. I had to make sure I catch my flight to Delhi and then again on to Singapore, so that am back in Singapore on Monday morning for Madam's treatment again. Given that I had no network on my phone at all, I took the help of one of the Malayali audience - a young chap who works in a bank - to check the flight status, only to realize that my Spicejet flight is delayed. A delay on my flight to Delhi would have definitely ensured that I would miss the flight to Singapore, because the two flights were even at different terminals. A friend of my co-producer who works in a travel agency was immediately contacted, and he said that if we rush to the airport immediately, we might be able to take an earlier Vistara. So I quickly said my huge thanks and goodbyes to the organizers and with my team, rushed to the hotel, rushed up to my room and grabbed my luggage, rushed into a waiting taxi and left for the airport. This in turn caused the hotel staff to give many panicked calls to us later, because they couldn't figure out why "Madam just took her bag and ran away"!

At the airport, the staff of Vistara went out of the way to get me a ticket even though the booking time was officially over. Not just that, they even gave me an upgrade! Elated, I bid farewell to my co-producer and sound designer and navigated my way through the overcrowded Guwahati airport and was finally on my way to Delhi.

As soon as I landed in Delhi, I realized that my flight Singapore was also delayed! So much for all that panic and last minute changes to tickets! But good news was that there was no change of terminal needed. So I relaxed first in the domestic terminal with a mocha from Starbucks, and then relaxed in the lounge at the international terminal. Now "relax" is a stretch because by now, I was exhausted and was coming down with a massive cold. All I wanted to do was get back home and crash on my bed and maybe not wake up for a real long time.

Instead, somehow I dragged myself from lounge to flight, somehow I managed that horrid overnight red eye flight and then again, dragged myself from flight to home. As soon as I got home, it was time for Madam's treatment, so I didn't get any time to rest. So after freshening up, we were back at the clinic for the next IV injection (the previous one was removed on Friday). Luckily, this time it was quite a painless process. She didn't cry as much and she recovered quickly too, thank God!

Back home, with finally feeling some peace and calm, I slept. A LOT. I think I woke up a couple of times for an hour each or so, but other than that I slept through the rest of the afternoon, the evening and the night and woke up the next morning.

And I did a fair amount of sleeping for the next few days as well. I followed a routine of clinic in the morning and a massive nap in the afternoon. My two feeble attempts at running and home workout didn't go very well either. The cold came on full swing and I reeled under it.

So yeah, I just slept. And slept. And slept. It was the calm I needed after all those lows and highs.

At the end of it all, I woke up refreshed, energized and forever grateful.

Days 218 - 220 : China again!

Yup, I found myself back in China, for the second time within 2 weeks!

The key highlight was the food this time. Our global CMO was in the town and she ensured the team went out for dinners on both the days I happened to be there.

On the first day we went to Mr & Mrs Bund on the Bund in Shanghai, which is like one of those super high end Michelin star restaurants or in my CMO's own words, "One of the best restaurants in the world!". And the food didn't disappoint at all.

On the second evening, we made our way to Chinese restaurant that specializes in the hairy crabs that Shanghai is famous for, also a Michelin star one, if I may add. I avoided the crab, but gorged myself on everything else that was laid out on the table, topping it all up with some Chinese rice wine (too strong!).

The downside was that I had a horrible experience travelling back because of continuous delay in the flight timings thanks to Shanghai's overcrowded airspace. But that was more or less compensated by the really cool Italian film I watched called "The Perfect Strangers"on the flight. It was a super low budget film - set over a dinner party and featuring 7 characters - but with absolutely brilliant writing, direction and performances. Loved it!

Thus wrapped up yet another, and hopefully the last for the year, China trip.

Days 180 - 187 : From Flu to Food to Festivals!

Well, what can I say. Just like that, another week whizzes past and am happily seven blog posts behind. So I am just going to stop pretending that I am going to continue this consistently for 500 days. As a famous Malayalam saying goes, "Nadannaal nadannu." or "If it happens, it happens."

So, let's see how it goes.

But I think I have a good excuse for the latest bout of procrastination.

After a really long time, I had caught a massive flu. Like the type that makes you want to do nothing but sleep, sleep and sleep. So clearly, blogging was the last thing on my mind.

But several awesome things did happen - so here you go.

1) I got notified that "Pularum Iniyum Naalekal" is officially selected for the online Cinema World Fest Awards. Next step is for them to announce the awards and post which the best of the fest will be screened publicly in early 2017 in Canada. So that's the 7th festival we have managed to get in!

2) I was stuck at home with the flu, so I used some of the time to write 50% of a feature film script. Yes, that's 51 pages of fresh, fresh writing of a brand new Malayalam feature! How exciting! I had been developing this idea for a while... I had a lot of situations super clear in the head but not the entire storyline. As I was nursing my running nose, somehow things fell into place and now all that's left is writing the whole script! (And of course, then making the film, but first things first).

3) We re-visited Lakshmi Narasimhan, my favourite haunt for several years but one that I had not been frequenting as much, and I got to relive the joy of an Andhra dosa (and of medhu vada and filter coffee... bliss!). Not once, but twice over the last few days. That was enough pampering for my flu-ey self.

4) I also enjoyed some amazing home made Sri Lankan Chicken Biriyani and Fish  Curry, which was nicely packed for me because I missed a party at a friend's place, again thanks to my flu. So there I was, digging away at some really good biriyani and curry at 1am!

5) Madam has a recent fetish for locking doors as she walks out. It's fine if one of us is inside the room, otherwise it's a bit problematic getting locked out. When she did it once, I scolded her, even though the husband was inside the room and we weren't technically locked out. But the husband readily defended her, thereby completely undermining my effort to make her realize it is the wrong thing to do. After a while he went out to a friend's place, and she locked another door. And this time, we were indeed locked out. Given the husband had such a strong opinion that locking people out wasn't a crime, I called him to ask for a solution. The conversation went like this :
He : Oh, you are locked out?
Me : Yes
He : Oh
Me : What do you suggest we do now?
He : Hmmm
Me : Well?
He : Oh I know!!! Get a knife...
Me : Excuse me?
He : Get a knife and poke it in, twist the lock and it will open.

Yup. My man, very earnestly suggested getting a knife and breaking in. As if this is a talent I am born with.

You may wonder what this particular point is doing here, but it astonished me so much (and later cracked me up so much) that I thought it should be here for posterity. And no, I didn't get a knife. I had anticipated this particular situation, so my super awesome self had already put spare keys in different accessible rooms.

6) But this amazing man also appeared on CNBC talking about his company Teamie, and completely rocked it! So proud!

7) For the first time ever, I actually completed a full round of a fitness program. OK, so it was easiest one maybe - the 4 week low impact Fitness Blender fitness program. I didn't do it 4 weeks straight, but mixed it up with yoga and dance in between, but at least am through with it, which is oh so awesome!

8) And last but not the least, Madam drew this!
The Fish

Days 123 - 130 : 8 days, 8 pointers.

I am taking the lazy way out and combining posts for a few days. For a week, to be precise. Which is really awful but that's what am doing. Mainly because, after I got back from Phuket, everything has been a whirlwind. I no longer remember what I did every day. Plus of course, I procrastinated the blogging every day that now things have become old enough for my memory to start failing.

BUT...  I can find 7 things to be happy about. Or in other words, there are 7 things that I can remember that am allocatingfor each day.

So here we go.

1) I got back to dancing and practiced the Thilllana and Bho Shambho again.

2) I got back to Fitness Blender after a really long gap. It used to be one of my often visited channel for workout videos but recently I had been more into yoga and dance. But somehow I felt like some strength & cardio training were calling out to me, so am back at Fitness Blender. So far, am enjoying it.

3) I met a friend from school - "friend since 1991" to be precise - who was visiting with his family. I took them to National Gallery where his adorable daughter and my own Madam had a whale of a time. They were true blue foodies, so my treat to them was at my favourite restaurant Saha and they loved it! The fish curry, the chettinaad chicken curry, the hyderabadi biriyani, the mini uthappams, the dessert with nitrogen (as we called it), were all terrific!

4) I had my mid year performance review and I was told by my manager that he has nominated me for a "Emerging Leader Program" at work, which I think is his way of saying that I have done well so far. So, pretty happy about that.

5) Madam came up with a few more gems, Sample this :

Me : Don't be naughty, I'll give you one "adi"! (adi = whack)
Madam : You can't give me "adi". Because you are my buddy.

(Yup, now she rhymes when she talks back).

6) The husband and I had a date night after ages! I don't even remember the last time just the two of us stepped out. We went to Club Street and got ourselves some Italian food and wine. Felt good!

7 ) When Qlab started to work on the film, they noticed some serious quality issues with the dubbing in certain scenes. That's not surprising because the "dubbing studio" till now has been a random room in the actress' house. So they requested for some redub and since we are so close to completing the film, I didn't wanna mess up the redub of these last bits. So we dubbed in a real studio which was a very cool experience!

8) Last but not the least - I read three books. All three I loved! I wrote a little review on Facebook which am shamelessly borrowing and putting here.
In order of how much I loved each...
#3 - "Hector finds time" by Francois Lelord. While not as awesome as "Hector and his search for happiness" mainly due to many unnecessary strained attempts at humour, it was still a fun read and many a time, an eye opening one too.
#2 - "The Rosie Project" by Graeme Simsion. An absolutely delightful find - especially thanks to the incredibly adorable character of Prof Don Tillman. Had real fun reading this very fresh romantic comedy!
#1 - "My Grandmother sends her regards and apologies" by Fredrik Backman, the same genius who wrote "A man called Ove". These two now are my most favourite books of all time. Incredibly imaginative, "My Grandmother...." makes one laugh, cry and think - all in a sentence. Not once, but many many times. Narrated through the eyes of a quirky seven year old, this precious little book combines fantasy, wonder, magic, joy, dreams, hope, love, life and much more! Mr Backman has a fan for life!

So there. 8 days squeezed into 8 pointers. Lazy post, alright.

370 more to go.

Day 99 : Yantra

Everyone in the family (and I mean my family in Singapore including in laws) seemed to have something or the other working out for them - work stuff, personal stuff, health stuff. So we thought today is as good a time as any for a family celebration!

The celebration, in true Indian style, ended up being all about eating.

We set off for the lunch buffet at Yantra at Tanglin Mall - and I must say it was pretty impressive.

They had a wonderful array of chaats (pani puri, of course, being my all time favourite), the fluffiest, softest naans, a lot of different vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes (my favourite being the mutton rice and the fried fish), too many desserts (much to Madam's excitement) and to top it all off, the perfect masala chai. We hogged until we couldn't hog any more and groaned from all that effort and overeating - a sign of a true, good celebration.

Here's to Yantra and celebrations!

Day 93 : Grub

It's my discovery of the year.

I found this really nice brunch place, pretty close to where I live in Bishan. A nice little secluded place in the middle of Bishan Park called Grub.

To get there you have to cross a bridge over a brook scattered with stones on top of which little turtles were hanging out.
Note the turtles!
There were two big parrots, someone's pets I figured, occasionally flying around.

There was a beautiful, peaceful pond.

There was a rooster running around, which ran even faster when my friend whom I was meeting at Grub, decided to chase it for pictures. I really should have taken a picture of that chase.

The brunch was good.

The coffee machine was broken (bummer).

But really, great find!

Day 71 - 72 : Maxing it Out!

It was the weekend after the "D-Day" and I was feeling on top of the world from the good news we received yesterday - We can go back to a normal life, at least for six months! That was awesome!

So I did what I usually do best. I decided to max it out.

I went to the temple to say big round of thank you.

I booked two holidays - one to Phuket in July and one to Bali in August.

I spent some good time catching up with friends, in laws and of course, the husband.

I took Madam on many outings - to the temple, to United Square for her favourite ride followed by Japanese food at Ichiban Boshi, to get her favourite Thai food from E-Sarn (the only place where she heartily gulps down vegetables!), to play with her best friend K at the Singapore Cricket Club.

I ate a lot - Japanese, Thai, Indian and an overload of home cooked food.

I read a lot - current it is Anita Nair's "Mistress" (once again, such beautiful language but terrible plot!)

I did a lot of yoga - so much so that I realized I can now do Heron pose (Krounchasana) and Compass pose (Parivritta Surya Yantrasana)!

Yes, I maxed it out and man, did it feel good!

Day 60 : The Joy of Juicing!

Here's one of the rare posts from me on the joys of healthy eating. Of course, it is not something I practice religiously but it does feel good to think that I do it at times and that I can show off my wisdom about it.

Thanks to the hectic post production schedule and trying to juggle work and everything else with it, my eating and sleeping cycles had gone out of whack. For a few days, we were eating the heaviest masala dosas at midnight or popping in another slice of pizza at 3am. It was terrible! As a result of it, I had been feeling  bloated and uncomfortable and even the short bouts of yoga here and there didn't completely make up for the abuse.

So, for the last couple of days, I had been having juices for breakfast and dinner. Not the fruit juices that are loaded with sugar, but nice, heavy smoothies of raw vegetables and fruits.

I hate salads, so a few months ago, I had invested in the $75 Nutribullet - an amazing invention for making juices of vegetables, fruits and seeds that even someone as useless-in-kitchen as me can easily get to work. I had been using it on and off too - mainly for my breakfast, as I need something to gulp down quickly. The good thing about the Nutribullet is that it smashes up even the fiber and absolutely nothing goes waste, not even the seeds! In fact, sometimes I add things like pumpkin seeds for good effect.

Over the last couple of days, I decided to make full use of my purchase and had been using it for breakfast and dinner. Usually it is a mix of mixed garden greens that you get for making salads (so things like romaine lettuce), as well as any fruit that's in the house - apples, grapes, bananas, pomegranates etc.

It's probably all psychological, but am already feeling less bloated, lighter and generally of a better opinion of what my body feels.

So there, to the joy of juicing!

Day 16: Gyozo!

My latest discovery in Japanese cuisine is that of the Gyozo, or their version of the dumpling. I had already fallen in love with the Chinese versions as well as the momos a really long time ago, but had never really taken to Japanese dumplings. Mainly because between the sushis, sashimis, katsu don, edamame etc. there were already too many things to choose from. So I had reserved the order for dumplings to Chinese restaurants, particularly Din Tai Fung.

All that was to change thanks to Madam's love for dumplings, which she had recently discovered at Din Tai Fungn as well.

We even have a song for it - "Pling Pling Dumpling."

But we found ourselves at Ichiban Boshi and she brought her love for dumplings over. Her exact words were, "I think we should have Pling Pling Dumplings. You think that's a good idea?"

I thought it was an excellent idea and figured out soon that I love Gyozo as much as the other Plings.

Day 14: The Swaadhisht Discovery!

In my previous blogs, I had fawned many number of times, over the restaurant Swaadhisht and the fantastic Thalassery Biriyani, Beef/Mutton coconut fry, Kerala Porotta and Varutharacha Chicken Curry available there.

Today, after a break of several months, we visited Swaadhisht, together with Madam, my mom and our helper. As usual, I ordered my favourite Thalassery Egg Biriyani, but also decided to explore something new.

And that was the Prawns Fry, which happened to be a really lip smacking affair. Super spicy with crunchy fried onions and curry leaves and absolutely heavenly!

The foodie in me was completely satisfied!

And apparently the foodie in little Madam was also completely satisfied too. She was close to tears from all that spice, but she braved it on, frequently saying "hhssss, hhsssss", but still downing one prawn after another.

For both of us, it shall be the day of a new Swaadhisht (tasty) discovery!

Day 7: National Gallery & Saha

A few months ago, Singapore opened a National Gallery, by renovating its old Supreme Court, a heritage building. I had heard about it from quite a few people and usually the feedback had been in the lines of "There's nobody there... what a waste!", "There are a few decent food places, that's all", "So much space but nothing to see", and other such lukewarm to negative feedback. Still, I had wanted to check it out and decide for myself. I only got around to it today, and that too purely by chance.

Today being a public holiday, I wanted to go to the temple. So the hubby, my mom, Madam and I went to my favourite Toa Payoh temple after which, I had a sudden craving to eat at Saha.

Saha is a fabulous Indian restaurant I had discovered a couple of years ago but hadn't visited in the last several months. They do really good fusion cooking, with molecular gastronomy techniques and what not! They even give you a pre-dining popsicle meant to clear the palate, so that you better appreciate everything on your plate (the hubby and I were really amused the first time this was offered)!

Since our discovery of this gem of a place, I had recommended it to several friends. It is not a place one can frequent too much given the high prices, but is definitely one for special occasions and treats.

Anyway, coming back to today, I had a sudden craving for Saha and when I went to their website to reserve, I realized that they had shifted to National Gallery. Woot! Two birds with one stone!

So the four of us went to National Gallery. We had about an hour to spare before our reservation time, so we spent it in the Keppel Centre for Art Education which was like paradise for Madam.

They had various activities for children and we spent some time making a paper 'robot' (with a scarf and shawl, as per Madam's instructions, because really, even robots need to be fashion conscious) and a couple of buses of cardboard which had wings and a sail (which she called "Christmas" because it apparently looked like a christmas tree).

The Robot
The Buses
We also spent a really long time in the "jungle room" as we termed it which Madam refused to leave!
The 'Jungle Room'
We were the only folks around which I thought was great because I loved walking through the long, large, empty aisles (I am always on the lookout for empty spaces in Singapore which are more and more hard to come by) and there was no chaos created by a bunch of kids all trying to do the same activity (even though the staff tells me that it does tend to get quite crowded during weekends and that we are just lucky). Madam could run around to her heart's content and was in great spirits throughout.

There was so much more to explore at the Gallery but we didn't have time to go anywhere else other than the Keppel Centre but I was so excited to have found a really good place for our "outings" with Madam! I promised to bring her back very soon and then we set off for Saha.

Once again, Saha didn't disappoint!

The Meen Moily (fish) with tamarind rice was my most favourite dish this time but the others - Lamb kebab platter, Prawn starter, Mini masala uthappams and the Onion-Mint Rice, were also awesome! Only the chicken curry was a bit of a disappoinment, but am willing to forgive them that. And of course, there was the popsicle at the beginning too! We topped it off with some refreshing Masala tea and I was super satisfied with the evening well spent.

I would say it was the perfect family evening and here's what I think of the feedback so far about National Gallery.

"There's nobody there... what a waste!" - There's nobody there, that's right. And I love that!
"There are a few decent food places, that's all" - There is Saha, what more could one need?
"So much space but nothing to see"- So much space, it's awesome! And so much to see, if one bothers to look!

493 more to go.
